The Downwind collection is the brand's first collection focused on the sport of kitesurfing.

To practice the sport, the essential condition is the wind, so being downwind provides the practitioner with adrenaline and the perfect experience. Weather conditions are extremely important and often punish practitioners, with strong winds, high incidence of UV rays, and rain. In order to minimize these climatic effects, sailing downwind gave rise to the name of the collection and we began to develop Downwind.

In the pursuit of excellence, the Downwind collection brings kitesurf practitioners products that prioritize comfort, quality of materials, resistance, and design suitable for practicing the sport.​

In this project, I was responsible for approving the quality, resistance, and final design tests of the products

We researched high-tenacity fabrics and materials that met the requirements for durability, resistance, protection against water, sand, UV rays, and antifungals, and that provided the practitioner with comfort without losing performance when practicing the sport.

 

The end result is a line of refined, innovative and high-performance products designed for use in extreme weather conditions. The highlight is the downwind backpack, with a modern design, with anti-wicking treatment that prevents dirt and water from entering. The PVC layer on the product not only protects against UV rays, but also prevents color fading. The stitching design and welded closure system create an impeccable watertight seal, keeping your belongings protected from water.
