The following project is a jacket designed for sports such as skiing and snowboarding. It was my own creation, from the creation to the sewing of the piece.

 

We were given the challenge of combining innovation, usability, practicality, performance, functionality and safety with aesthetics.

 

I began my planning with research on sports, then went to the market and interviewed people who practiced sports. After compiling all the information, I began the design process.

For the modeling, I created a jacket with features and practicalities suitable for sports: a larger hood to fit a helmet, cuffs with closures, double openings, pockets, and double zippers to make it easier to put on the piece.

With the design and modeling completed, I moved on to choosing the materials and the respective tests to ensure the quality of the product.

 

The next step was sewing, when I saw my creation come off the drawing board and become a product. I selected specific materials such as Gore-Tex and waterproof zippers. I also used advanced techniques such as heat sealing on the seams. I transformed what was once an idea into a usable, commercial product that maintained all the required features without losing functionality and aesthetics.

 

 

This project challenged me from the very beginning, sharpening my creativity, my ability to solve problems, and to understand and face challenges, resulting in a creative design with high performance for the sports market
