Wetsuit project

This project focuses on functional design principles applied to surfwear. To develop this project, I first had to break the process down into a few steps.

First, I analyzed the problem, understood the target audience, the environment and the challenges.

With an understanding of my audience and target, I analyzed the geographic, environmental conditions and user characteristics.

To carry out and continue this project, I created some methods that would help me understand the problems encountered.

Co-creation

In this step, I worked together with the voluntaries in a co-creation group, to understanding and analysis the main problems and better ways to solve.

In this phase, I tried to divide the activity into four phases: the introduction and presentation of what we would cover in that group project, questions about the pain points and needs of the costume, what isn't working, and the dream costume, which was asked to draw and/or describe.

Prototypes

At this stage of the project, I gathered the most relevant information from research and user interaction, and began developing the study of swimwear.

In the first and second prototypes, modeling, body measurements and movement analyses were carried out, in addition to a study for zipper openings.

Already in the third prototype, I began to analyze not only the best way for the swimsuit to behave on the body, but also different materials and cuts, in an attempt to facilitate movement.
