Winter 23
Refuge
Designing my winter collection under the evocative theme of “Refuge” was both a challenge and a profound creative adventure. I set out to explore the idea of shelter—both physical and emotional—expressed through form, texture, and pattern, aiming to create garments that embody comfort, warmth, and the longing for safety.
To capture the essence of “Refuge,” I began with in-depth research, gathering inspiration from natural sanctuaries, cozy interiors, and the quiet resilience found in winter landscapes.
Creative Process

My moodboard became a tapestry of snowy forests, soft textiles, muted hues, and architectural structures, which guided my palette and material choices throughout
Building upon this visual foundation, I moved to sketching croquis, exploring relaxed yet protective silhouettes—voluminous coats, enveloping scarves, and layered ensembles that invite a sense of closeness. Each piece was designed to offer the wearer a feeling of being wrapped in warmth and tranquility. Designing print patterns for this collection required me to translate the theme into woven motifs and subtle, organic repetitions.

I experimented with abstract shapes inspired by tree bark, frost patterns, and stone walls, aiming for prints that whisper rather than shout, emphasizing subtlety and depth.
